At the Bunbury Geographe Chamber of Commerce and Industry we're passionate about business growth and opportunity for industry. With over 450 members, the Chamber provides information, support and facilities, including a regular program of networking, training and the show-stopping Business Excellence Awards night. We're looking for a highly organised, creative and driven Marketing and Events Manager to join our fast-paced team and help take our industry-leading events and communications to the next level.
Overview
This is a high-impact position combining Marketing leadership with Events management across our portfolio. You\'ll work directly with our CEO on strategy and execution, driving growth across our expanding portfolio of training and events using our own venue and other venues across the region. Communications and marketing are integral to this role in driving member engagement, connection between members and growth, whilst maintaining the Chamber\'s unique brand identity and that of the Bunbury Geographe region.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing leadership
- Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to drive membership growth and engagement.
- Oversee social media management and community building, including email newsletter and website updates.
- Analyse and report performance metrics, social engagement, campaign ROI, and provide actionable insights.
- Regular engagement with members.
- Media and PR management.
Events and business development
- Plan, manage, and execute a range of events (conferences, awards, webinars, roundtables and networking functions).
- Develop project timelines, run sheets, and production schedules.
- Manage venues, suppliers and production suppliers.
- Manage event budgets and sponsorships.
- Ensure all events meet brand, safety and quality standards.
What you bring
- 5+ years\' experience in marketing and events management, preferably in a business-to-business environment.
- Excellent project management and organisational skills.
- Marketing and communication skills, including ability to effectively use Canva, Mailchimp, Social Media and website CMS.
- Advanced proficiency in Canva for design and content creation.
- Advanced experience with Mailchimp for email marketing campaigns.
- Strong digital marketing expertise across social platforms, paid channels and PR.
- Content creation abilities (photography/videography/editing skills highly regarded).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent written and communication skills.
- Australian work rights are required for this position.
