Program Manager - Clown Doctors Vic/Tas - Remote

The Humour Foundation brings laughter where is unexpected, yet most needed. For almost 30 years, the Clown Doctors program has transformed the hospital experience for children, families and carers, and staff. Through the Laughter Care program, we bring joy and connection to people in residential aged care.

Last year our programs supported over 300,000 people across the country.

We are passionate about what we do and are looking for a talented Program Manager who is equally passionate about our work.

THE ROLE

Our talented and empathetic Clown Doctors help young patients in hospitals and their families thrive through connection, empowerment and play. They help people receive the best quality of care and transform the hospital experience in a unique, person-centric way.

Our Program Managers are responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the Clown Doctor Program. This includes coordination of rosters and meetings, as well as building strong relationships with relevant hospital staff.

The VIC/TAS Program Manager role is 22.5 hours per week and can be worked 3 days at 7.5 hours per day or 4/5 days at less hours per day. You will work from home with travel to Melbourne hospitals approximately once every 4-6 weeks and some occasional interstate travel for meetings/conferences (usually Sydney or TAS approximately 2-3 times per year total).

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

* Excellent administrator, organised and adept at managing changing administrative needs on the go
* Proven relationship building and stakeholder management skills
* Pro-active collaborator, with excellent sense for who to involve and when to escalate issues
* Excellent communicator; able to be a liaison between numerous groups (hospitals, Clown Doctors, THF staff)
* Ability to give feedback and raise issue effectively

Nice to have but not essential:

* Experience in arts-based, healthcare or for-purpose sector
* Experience working with contractors, performers or highly creative individuals
* Rostering experience and competency using rostering software
