We’re looking for a product designer to join one of our cross-functional squads, playing a pivotal role in shaping how our customers engage with Mable. In this role, you’ll take ideas from insight to impact leading design research, running workshops, developing and testing concepts, and bringing experiences to life through thoughtful UX and polished UI execution, supported by our design system. You’ll collaborate closely with a product manager, data lead, and front- and back-end engineers within your squad, working together to uncover real user problems and design meaningful solutions. Beyond your squad, you’ll be part of our Customer Experience team, where you’ll have the opportunity to learn from and collaborate with design managers and other talented product designers, all committed to elevating design at Mable! Day to day will see you: Understand customer challenges and design effective, user-centred solutions that improve the end-to-end customer experience. Own and deliver high-quality UX outcomes within your squad, ensuring design excellence from discovery through to delivery. Collaborate closely with a Product Manager, Data Lead, and a dedicated engineering team to co-create impactful product solutions. Scope, plan, and facilitate user research and usability testing to deepen customer understanding and iterate designs rapidly. Leverage our design system to create wireframes, interactive prototypes, specifications, and other design artefacts that clearly communicate design intent. Champion a lean, human-centred design approach to product development across the organisation. Balance and manage competing priorities, needs, and timelines with confidence and adaptability. Facilitate workshops with diverse stakeholders to gather insights, validate ideas, and build alignment. Contribute positively to shaping and strengthening the design culture within a fast-scaling tech business. More about you: Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders, empathise with customers, and build cross-functional alignment. 3–5 years of professional experience in experience design, with strong exposure to product and technology teams. Expertise in Figma and proficiency with emerging UX/UI tools and practices. Proven experience in scoping and conducting user research, including participant recruitment and the use of qualitative research methods to rapidly test and validate solutions. Strong knowledge of UX strategies and trends across both web and mobile platforms. Experience in the health, wellbeing, or aged care sectors is a big bonus, or within organisations with high design maturity. Ability to design solutions from the ground up as well as refine and improve existing features, always through a user-centred design lens. Comfortable working in an environment where solutions are constructively challenged by engineering, data and product driving towards the best outcomes for end users.
