About the Role
As our Community Engagement Lead, you'll be at the heart of everything we do for Tasmania. You'll design and deliver purpose‐led community initiatives, build meaningful partnerships, and create engagement opportunities that strengthen RACT's connection with members and the broader community. From coordinating forums and events to driving advocacy outcomes and managing our corporate volunteer program, no two days will look the same.
This is a rare chance to step into a high‐impact role where your work genuinely shapes how Tasmanians experience their community — and their RACT.
What you'll be doing:
* Leading the co‐creation and delivery of community engagement activations, events, and special projects aligned with RACT's strategy
* Building and nurturing partnerships with like‐minded mutual organisations across Tasmania and beyond
* Collaborating with senior leaders, including the Board and Executive Leadership Team, to champion community programs
* Managing RACT's corporate volunteer program and driving employee engagement through meaningful community connection
* Creating compelling content across social media, internal communications, PR, and web channels
* Representing RACT at community events — including some evenings, weekends, and occasional interstate travel
What you'll bring:
* 3–5 years' experience in community engagement, events management, or a similar field
* A strong stakeholder network and the relationship skills to grow it further
* A genuine understanding of the challenges facing Tasmanians and a desire to make a positive impact
* An innovative mindset — you challenge the status quo and find creative solutions
* Exceptional organisational and communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate towards win‐win outcomes
* A values‐driven approach, leading by example and bringing others along with you
