Retail assistant (fitzroy)

Hi! GOLDIES is a recent store that has recently opened on Gertrude street, Fitzroy. Goldies is a fun concept sore for you and the kids in your life. Small run children's brands and curated gifts for grownups. We are on the lookout for a superstar retail assistant to join the Goldies fam! We are looking for someone with 2+ years retail experience in a similar role.

We are looking for someone kind, friendly and reliable. The role is a casual position on Wednesdays and Fridays from 10.30am to 4.30pm (please note also day shift and weekend availability details).

• Knowledge of the brands we stock would be a strong plus
• Greeting customers - checking if they need help (not overbearing)
• Folding and wrapping items and neatly putting them into a bag for customers
• Maintain store neatness and cleanliness
• In-store merchandising
• Making sure stock is priced and popping out new items as per inventory levels
• Keeping out the back orderly throughout the day
• Asking customers if they want to be added to the system/mailing list and maintaining the database – really important for sales

• Social media skills / Shopify knowledge are a strong plus
• Strong organisational and multitasking skills
• Experience with social media management is a strong plus
• Experience in fashion, business, or marketing is preferred
• Ability to work independently and take initiative is a must as you will be working by yourself at the store most of the time
