Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Policy Officer to contribute to important national work ensuring that subsidies paid for medicines are consistent with legislation, pharmaceutical pricing policy and broader government requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage statutory and administrative pricing changes to medicines.
* Provide policy and technical advice to senior decision makers.
* Support administrative processes for pricing submissions, including maintaining and creating pricing data trackers.
* Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to build productive and effective relationships.
* Prepare and contribute to written materials including policy papers, reports, briefs, legislative instruments, agenda papers and correspondence.
* Use research and problem-solving skills to examine diverse data sources and synthesise critical information for decision makers.
* Apply planning and organisational skills to meet deadlines with competing priorities and deliver high-quality work.
Required Skills and Qualifications

* Ability to learn and utilise electronic systems (Microsoft Office).

* Strategic thinking and analysis skills, including the ability to collate information from a range of sources.
* Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills.
