Senior Network Planning Engineer (Electricity Grid)

About the Role
As a Senior Network Planning Engineer (Electricity Grid), you will lead short-to-long-term power system planning and development of Jemena's electricity network, delivering safe, reliable, affordable energy, and sustainable performance for all customers.
Key Responsibilities
1. Perform power system assessments, network development options, and scope preparation for major customer connection projects.
2. Strategic area planning using probabilistic planning, risk, and cost-benefit economic evaluation assessments, report writing, and presentations.
3. Perform power system feasibility study assessments.
4. Prepare Regulatory Investment Tests (RIT-D and RIT-T) and contribute to the Distribution Annual Planning Report and Transmission Connection Planning Report preparation.
5. Technical assessment of large embedded generation connection projects.
6. Provide technical leadership and support to network planning team members.
Your Qualifications and Experience
You have experience in the electrical industry with short-to-long-term system planning experience.
You are proficient in using electricity network power system software such as PSS/E and/or PSCAD.
You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise and influence both internal and external stakeholders.
You have strong knowledge of the regulatory framework, its obligations, and instruments (such as NER, EDCoP, Australian Standards).
