Placed.au is looking for a full-time Chef for our client in Horsham, Victoria.

Responsibilities
Perform a wide range of professional culinary duties, supported by a completed apprenticeship or relevant trade certification; skilled in general cooking, baking, pastry preparation, and butchery, with the ability to carry out both specialized and high-volume kitchen tasks to a high standard of quality and efficiency.
Directly supervise other cooks and kitchen/catering staff in the club's kitchen and other catering services, including allocation of duties, roster approval of overtime, and training of all kitchen staff.
Manage stock control of the club's kitchen and other catering services, including ordering of stock as necessary.
Manage the development of apprentice cooks and other staff in the kitchen and other catering services.
Develop and implement workplace policies and procedures as necessary or as directed by the Management.
Participate as part of a team providing services to members and patrons.
Apply recognised Occupational Health and Safety practices to provide a safe and healthy work environment.
Perform all duties consistent with the policies of the Club and statutory requirements.
Qualifications
Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or higher; or at least three (3) years of relevant full-time professional experience in lieu of formal qualifications.
Minimum of 1 year of demonstrated experience in a commercial kitchen environment performing relevant culinary duties.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Proven competency across key culinary areas such as food preparation, cooking, menu execution, and kitchen operations.
Commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene, and workplace cleanliness.
Strong understanding of industry best practices and compliance requirements within an Australian commercial kitchen.
Salary
$75,000 - $90,000 p.a. excluding superannuation.
