The Role
VAE Group is seeking an experienced Service Supervisor to join our dynamic Service team in Darra. This is a hands‐on leadership role supporting technicians, projects, and customers across the Brisbane region — driving high‐quality HVAC service delivery while building a strong people‐focused culture.
Reporting to the Customer Account Manager, you will lead by example in the field, provide technical support to technicians and apprentices, and help ensure service operations are delivered safely, efficiently, and to VAE's high standard.
Some of the key responsibilities will include;
* Lead and support technicians across HVAC service and maintenance activities
* Provide technical guidance, troubleshooting, and field support to the team
* Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and fault‐finding on HVAC systems
* Review and prepare field service quotations and minor works pricing
* Conduct site inspections and ensure high standards of safety and workmanship
* Support apprentice development and day‐to‐day field training
* Build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
* Ensure compliance with HSEQ procedures, tooling, vehicle, and PPE standard
About You
* HVAC trade qualification with strong service and maintenance experience
* Relevant licences including ARCTick, Restricted Electrical and White Card
* Strong fault‐finding and technical troubleshooting capability
* Experience supporting or leading technicians in the field
* Good understanding of service quoting and estimating
* Strong communication, customer service, and time management skills
* Team‐focused with a proactive and safety‐first mindset
