The Organisation
Desert Blue Connect Incorporated is an independent, community based not for profit organisation providing holistic services for women and families including women's health, family and domestic violence services, rural support services, men's services and primary prevention programs.
Guided by the2023-2027Strategic Plan, Desert Blue Connect is focused on delivering high quality, contemporary and culturally safe services, driving systemic change, strengthening partnerships and ensuring long term financial sustainability. The Position
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Chief Executive Officer is responsible for the strategic direction, operational performance, financial sustainability and sector leadership of Desert Blue Connect. The CEO serves as the organisation's principal representative to government, partners, funders and the broader community.
Key Responsibilities Include
* Leading the implementation of the2023-2027Strategic Plan
* Providing strong governance, risk management and transparent reporting to the Board
* Ensuring delivery of high quality, client centered and culturally safe services
* Leading and supporting a skilled, values aligned and multidisciplinary workforce
* Driving financial sustainability through sound stewardship and revenue diversification
* Building strong partnerships and leading advocacy to influence policy, funding and service reform
* Representing Desert Blue Connect as a trusted regional leader across the sector
About You
Desert Blue Connect is seeking an experienced and values led senior executive with a genuine commitment to improving outcomes for women and families. You will bring strategic insight, operational credibility and the ability to lead a values-driven organisation operating in a complex regional environment. You will understand the importance of ensuring a financially sustainable organisation and possess high level skills to lead a high performing organisation.
Key Attributes and Experience:
* An appropriate tertiary degree in business, social sciences, human services, health management or a related field
* Minimum of 5 years senior leadership experience and/or a strong track record in a senior leadership role within the FDV or community sector.
* Strong governance, financial and risk management capability
* Experience working effectively with Boards and diverse stakeholders
* The ability to lead organisational change, service growth and continuous improvement
* Experience representing an organisation in public forums and advocating to Government.
* Strong people leadership skills with a commitment to staff wellbeing and development
* A genuine commitment to gender equity, safety, inclusion and culturally safe practice
