About the Role
The Senior Laboratory Operations Manager is responsible for leading site compliance, maintaining and extending NATA accreditation, managing audits, developing and monitoring quality, safety, and environmental systems. This position also involves overseeing LIMS development and rollout, and coordinating new projects as directed by senior management.
This role requires a strong understanding of laboratory quality management, NATA compliance, and commercial laboratory operations. The ideal candidate will be able to collaborate with lab managers to ensure consistency across all labs, plan and coordinate internal audits, and investigate and address any issues or complaints related to the quality of laboratory services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintaining existing accreditations for the site and specific tests
* Drive compliance and achieve NATA accreditation for additional tests targeted by senior management
* Coordinate NATA/TGA/safety training
* Collaborate with Lab Managers to ensure a consistent approach across all labs
* Plan, train, and coordinate internal audits, management reviews, incident reports, and continual improvement across all labs
Required Skills and Qualifications
A Bachelor of Chemistry or similar qualification is preferred, but not essential. The successful candidate will have experience in a similar role ensuring NATA compliance, commercial laboratory or NATA lab experience, LIMS experience or similar, internal audits experience, project management skills, and the ability to collaborate and influence others to drive system consistency.
