About the role
Join Mining One as a Mining Engineer and play a crucial role in optimising mining operations. As a Mining Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, planning, and overseeing mining activities to ensure efficient, safe, and productive operations. This full-time position is based in our Melbourne office, offering a dynamic and collaborative work environment. Join our Melbourne, Perth or Brisbane offices.
What you'll be doing
Develop and implement mine plans, including production scheduling, equipment utilisation, and resource allocation
Conduct feasibility studies, technical analyses, and risk assessments to support strategic decision-making
Optimise mining processes and techniques to improve productivity, safety, and cost-effectiveness
Oversee the design and construction of mining infrastructure, such as roads, pits, and underground workings
Ensure compliance with relevant mining regulations, environmental standards, and safety protocols
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including geologists, geotechnical engineers, and operations personnel
Provide technical expertise and guidance to support the wider mining operations
What we're looking for
Degree in Mining Engineering or a related field
Minimum 5 years of experience in a mining engineering role, preferably in the resources and energy sector
Proficiency in mine planning, design, and optimisation software
Strong understanding of mining processes, equipment, and technologies
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders
