About the Opportunity Sonic Healthcare Australia Pathology is looking for a part-time Engineering Coordinator – Inventory & Procurement based in Macquarie Park, Sydney, NSW. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this role is responsible for coordinating procurement, managing inventory and spare parts, and supporting the day-to-day operations of a national engineering team. More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to: Coordinating and generating purchase orders (POs) for engineering requirements, including capital equipment Liaising with suppliers to obtain quotes, confirm orders, and track deliveries Managing the end-to-end lifecycle of spare parts, including receiving, tracking, storage, and invoicing Maintaining accurate inventory records and overseeing stock control processes Monitoring inventory systems and ensuring availability of critical components Supporting planning and coordination of preventative maintenance and equipment requirements Managing vendor relationships, including warranty claims and service queries Partnering with finance to support reporting, budgeting, and invoice reconciliation Maintaining organised documentation, records, and administrative systems Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance operational efficiency To read the full position description, please click here About You To qualify, you will need experience in an administrative, procurement, or inventory coordination role. Experience supporting engineering, maintenance, or technical teams will be highly regarded. Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued: Strong organisational and time management skills with high attention to detail Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel Experience using ERP, inventory, or procurement systems Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with internal teams and external vendors Ability to analyse data and generate meaningful reports As our ideal candidate, you will be proactive, reliable, and solutions-focused, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
