Training Coordinator
This role is responsible for delivering the Skilling Queenslanders for Work Program, planning and coordinating activities to ensure success. The position involves recruiting, supporting, and engaging program participants, mentoring them to develop employability skills that drive employment outcomes.
The program focuses on addressing barriers such as travel, literacy, and access to local employer networks, leading to higher employment participation, increased education, better access to services, and socioeconomic gains for individuals and communities.
The successful candidate will require liaising with government departments, community organizations, and service providers to ensure successful program delivery. Business development with employers and providing training and assessment as needed are also included.
Key Requirements:
* Qualifications in Training and Assessment, Individual Support, Aged Care, Disability Work, or Community Services.
* Experience in delivering government-funded programs such as Skilling Queenslanders for Work or similar.
* Coordination experience, preferably working with vulnerable populations.
* Cultural understanding of CALD communities and their support needs.
* Ability to understand labor market trends, needs, and barriers to employment.
* Ability to handle unpredictable situations and behaviors.
