What You'll Be Doing This purpose of this position is to undertake all aspects of radiography for BreastScreen SWSLHD, demonstrating a high level of clinical expertise in the performance of breast imaging. Where you'll be working SWSLHD Population Health aims to protect and promote the health of the local population, reduce health inequalities, and achieve optimal health and wellbeing for all residents of South Western Sydney. The services provided include prevention, early intervention, and health promotion programs designed to help individuals and families adopt healthy behaviours and avoid illness. The team works in partnership with the community to create health-promoting physical and social environments, ensuring accessible, fair, and culturally appropriate services. Registered as a Medical Radiation Practitioner – Diagnostic Radiographer with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia (AHPRA), hold a current EPA radiation license and meet the requirements of a Level 2 Radiographer in the Health Employees Medical Radiation Scientists (State) Award. Applicants must be female (exemption is claimed under Section 31 (2)(h) of the Anti-Discrimination Act).Experience or extensive knowledge of diagnostic/screening mammography, along with a knowledge of quality assurance.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be able to work within a multidisciplinary team.Excellent time management skills.Experience/knowledge of Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) and Breastscreen Information Systems (BIS).Demonstrated ability to display empathy, courtesy towards clients, co-workers and all multidisciplinary staffWillingness to work across SWSLHD BreastScreen sites and across a 7 day roster, including undertaking overtime, when required.
