Heritage Operations and Engagement Lead (Full Time)
The Heritage Operations & Engagement Lead supports the Regional Manager and ensures the smooth delivery of heritage work across the organisation.
The role focuses on coordinating operational activities, maintaining clear communication pathways and guiding the progression of multiple engagements from planning through to completion.
It also acts as a key contact point for clients and partner organisations, helping to align expectations, organise workflows and oversee the quality of both office-based and field-based activities.
The position requires strong organisational capability, a confident approach to stakeholder interaction and the ability to maintain structure, accuracy and professionalism across all deliverables.

Task & responsibilities
The role involves supporting the Regional Manager with planning, scoping and RFQ preparation, coordinating timelines and resources for heritage projects, and monitoring progress across multiple engagements.
You will act as a key contact for clients, Traditional Owners and partner organisations, organise logistics for office and field-based activities, and assist with approvals and service delivery.
The position also includes contributing to workflow meetings, ensuring team members understand scopes and quality expectations, reviewing documentation for accuracy and compliance, maintaining clear records, supporting staff training and contributing to continuous improvement in heritage operations and engagement practices.
Qualification & experience
Experience coordinating workflows, timelines, operational activities, leading teams and facilitating training programmes
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Confidence communicating with clients, stakeholders and internal teams
Hands-on fieldwork experience is desirable
Qualifications in anthropology, archaeology, history, social sciences or project administration
Familiarity with coordinating fieldwork or project logistics in academic or heritage contexts
Ability to maintain accurate documentation and follow internal procedures
Understanding of WHS, compliance and quality assurance expectations
Commitment to respectful engagement with Traditional Owners and partner organisations
