Corpus Christi Primary School in Waratah is seeking a Temporary Part‐Time (14 hours per week) Learning Support Assistant for Terms 3 & 4, 2026.
Work roster will be Wednesdays 9am – 2:30pm, Thursdays 9am – 2:30pm and Fridays 9am – 1pm. Days and times are fixed; roster is inclusive of unpaid breaks.

Learning Support Assistants (LSA) in a Catholic school support teachers in ensuring each child has the opportunity to grow both academically and spiritually and to live a purposeful life.
* Supported by the Catholic community, LSAs support teachers in inviting students and their families into a faith‐filled educational experience.
* LSAs support the promotion of the school as a place of learning and excellence where creativity and curiosity are nurtured and students are connected with their world through deep learning and engagement.
* Under the direction of teachers, LSAs provide support and assistance in school routines; classroom activities; and the care and support of students with disability.
Desired Skills and Experience
EXPERIENCE/CRITERIA
* Ability to articulate a clear understanding of and a personal commitment to Catholic education and the mission of the Church through Catholic schools.
* Experience working with students with disability (K-12).
* Demonstrated ability to work under the direction of a teacher, and in collaboration with school staff, CSO staff, and external stakeholders.
* Demonstrated ability to effectively administer assessments, and deliver interventions, under the direction of a teacher.
* Demonstrated ability to implement adjustments required for individual students and groups of students.
* Experience in supporting student enrolment and transitions, under the direction of a teacher.
* Knowledge about the relevant Disability legislation and the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD).
* Evidence of excellent organisational, interpersonal, and administrative skills.
* Experience supporting students requiring Extensive level adjustments through NCCD (Desirable).
* Experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and supporting their learning, wellbeing and participation at school.
QUALIFICATIONS
* Current paid NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC) number.
* Completion of anaphylaxis training.
* Certificate III or IV in School Based Education Support or experience in schools (Desirable).
