Job Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Walk Organiser. As part of this role, you will be responsible for establishing and managing walking groups in your community.
The primary objective of this position is to increase physical activity among local residents through the organisation of safe and enjoyable walking routes.
To achieve this goal, we require an individual with strong communication skills, who can effectively promote the walk and engage with new walkers.
Beyond promoting the walk, your responsibilities will also include welcoming new participants, tracking attendance, and ensuring that all activities are conducted in a safe and supportive environment.
We are committed to providing our Walk Organisers with the necessary tools and resources to excel in their roles. This includes access to online training, recognition, and volunteer insurance coverage.
In terms of time commitment, this will vary depending on the frequency and scope of the walks organised. However, approximately 15 minutes of online training are required to familiarise yourself with the programme.
