International Business Development Manager The Opportunity

In this role, you will lead the charge in growing our international presence across Europe and the Americas, with a particular focus on Northern and Western Europe, as well as the United States of America. Your extensive networks in these regions will be key to identifying and developing new student recruitment opportunities. You'll drive strategic initiatives that build strong, sustainable, diverse pipelines while managing vital partnerships with education agents, institutions, and government agencies. Success will be measured by achieving enrolment targets and delivering solid return on investment. Leading an offshore team, you'll keep UniSC connected and growing particularly from high-priority markets in Europe and North America.

Your Role
* Drive strategic growth by developing and implementing international student recruitment strategies aligned with UniSC's broader internationalisation goals.
* Lead market analysis and insights, drawing from multiple data sources to identify trends, assess performance, and provide actionable advice to drive recruitment outcomes.
* Represent UniSC internationally with professionalism and cultural competency, building high‐impact relationships with education agents, government agencies, institutions, and other key stakeholders.
* Manage recruitment performance by overseeing a team of mobile staff and consultants, evaluating effectiveness, and ensuring a strong return on investment from all business development activities.
About you

You're a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of international education markets and a track record of delivering results. You bring energy, cultural awareness, and analytical strength to everything you do. A natural leader and communicator, you're comfortable managing high‐performing teams and collaborating across time zones and cultures.

You'll thrive in this role if you are self‐motivated, solutions‐focused, and skilled in navigating dynamic and complex environments to deliver on ambitious international student recruitment targets.

Qualifications
* Qualification (or progress toward completion) in a relevant field and extensive experience in international business development or international student recruitment; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
* Demonstrated success in developing and executing region‐specific business development plans leading to measurable student recruitment growth.
* Experience in leading high‐performing, geographically dispersed teams in a fast‐paced, target‐driven environment.
* Strong analytical capability with experience interpreting market intelligence and reporting against strategic goals.
* Effective budget and ROI management experience, with a clear understanding of cost‐per‐acquisition metrics and performance measurement.
* Excellent cross‐cultural communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with a proven ability to manage diverse relationships and negotiate strategic partnerships.
* Deep knowledge of international education systems and qualification frameworks, along with established networks in government, scholarship bodies, and partner institutions.
* Understanding of the Australian and international higher education landscape, including compliance with ESOS, TEQSA, and related internationalisation policies and frameworks.
Desirable
* Fluency in a language other than English relevant to UniSC's key international markets.
* Experience managing the performance of international recruitment partners including education agents and transnational education providers.

Relocation assistance is available for candidates relocating for this position.
