About the Role
This leadership position is a key part of our maintenance team, responsible for ensuring safe and efficient operations across a large fleet of heavy mining equipment. The role will involve leading maintenance supervisors, tradespeople and support staff to deliver operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
* Leadership and Direction: Provide strategic guidance to the maintenance team to achieve high levels of performance and efficiency.
* Maintenance Planning and Execution: Oversee daily maintenance planning and execution activities to ensure smooth operations.
* Safety Culture: Drive a strong safety culture aligned with industry best practices and client expectations.
* Clients and Stakeholders: Maintain positive relationships with clients, contractors and internal stakeholders through effective communication and transparent delivery of services.
* Equipment Performance: Monitor and report on equipment performance, availability and reliability targets.
* Maintenance Shutdowns: Coordinate maintenance shutdowns and planned work schedules to minimize downtime.
* Continuous Improvement: Support initiatives to improve processes, people and plant performance.

Requirements
This role requires a highly experienced professional with a proven track record in HME maintenance leadership. Key skills and qualifications include:
* Leadership Experience: Proven experience in a similar HME maintenance leadership role within mining.
* Trade Qualification: Trade qualification in Plant Mechanic / Diesel Fitting or relevant engineering discipline desirable.
* Maintenance Knowledge: Strong understanding of Caterpillar Hitachi or similar fleet maintenance practices.
* Communication Skills: Excellent communication leadership and organisational skills.
* Commitment to Safety: Commitment to safety quality and team development.
* Maintenance Systems: Experience using maintenance management systems e.g. AMT or similar.
