About the Role
Contribute to operational excellence by supporting existing and delivering enhanced IT capabilities for manufacturing departments.
The role involves ongoing maintenance and support of modern Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and associated systems. It works within a team that supports applications referenced for all plants, based out of Laverton or Newcastle.
Responsibilities include:
* Co-ordinate and assist with various project tasks, including design, configuration, testing, training, data cleansing, cutover tasks, and hyper-care support.
* Deliver ongoing application enhancements and upgrades to support business priorities.
* Provide day-to-day application support – investigate and resolve issues within agreed SLA.
* Provide 24x7 on-call support as per agreed roster.
* Be involved throughout entire software development lifecycle (SDLC).
* Analyse requirements and translate into solution design and specification.
* Ensure quality of delivered systems through structured testing, reviewing, change management, and documentation.
* Create training material and provide end-user training and coaching.
* Collaborate with end-users/business SMEs throughout systems development lifecycle (SDLC) and ongoing application management.
* Collaborate with vendor & integration partners on support and development requirements.

Requirements
* Tertiary qualified in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Engineering, or similar discipline.
* Previous experience delivering and supporting Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) is highly desired.
* Exposure to ERP & Industrial Automation systems in a process industry beneficial.
* Exposure to creating/modifying reports using technologies like Crystal Reports and Power BI.
* Understanding of manufacturing processes and technologies preferred.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Proven business communication and writing skills required.
* Experience working within structured IS methodologies preferred.
* Experience with designing, developing, and programming PL/SQL database and client-server applications preferred.
* Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle essential.
