About the Role

As our Travel Operations Executive, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the wider Best in Travel team, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our travel services. You will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, contributing significantly to an exceptional customer experience through essential operations and administrative support. This is a hands-on role requiring a proactive approach and strong organisational skills within a dynamic environment.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities Will Include:

* Working closely with suppliers to confirm availability, pricing, and service details
* Maintaining and updating internal systems with confirmations, changes, and operational information
* Supporting the operations team with booking confirmations and required documentation
* Responding to client and local partner enquiries in a timely and professional manner
* Preparing, coordinating, and distributing operational documents to ensure smooth on-ground delivery
* Monitoring bookings and proactively resolving operational issues before and during travel
* Collaborating with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of itineraries and services
* Maintaining accurate records and ensuring all documentation is current and compliant
* Being available to work a rotating roster, including weekend shifts, within operating hours of 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM

The Successful candidate

We're looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented person who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a genuine passion for travel. You'll bring:

* Experience: Proven experience in an operation, administrative, or customer service role, ideally within the travel industry and experience with a GDS system is advantageous but not essential.
* Skills: Excellent organizational and time management skills, strong attention to detail and accuracy, proficient problem-solving abilities, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Personality: A proactive and customer-focused approach, capable of working both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
* Tech-savviness: Proficiency with Google Suite and the ability to learn new software and systems quickly.
* Knowledge: A passion for travel and a good understanding of the travel industry landscape.
