Our client is seeking an Electrical Engineer who is skilled in diagnosing and repairing high voltage production machinery. If you enjoy getting hands on with complex equipment, resolving electrical faults, and improving system performance, this role will suit you well. You will work across high voltage test systems, precision coating equipment, and associated electrical infrastructure that underpins a fast paced production environment.
Reporting to the Reliability Engineering Manager, you will be the primary point of support for electrical issues on the production floor. Your work will combine practical repair and maintenance duties with engineering analysis, system upgrades, documentation, and project support. You will keep high voltage assets operating safely and reliably, lead electrical fault investigations, and assist with bringing new equipment into service.
What You Will Do
* Carry out electrical repairs, maintenance, and calibration on High Voltage production test systems and Deposition Coating machinery
* Diagnose electrical faults, determine root causes, and implement sustainable corrective actions
* Undertake routine inspections, testing, and reliability improvements across HV systems and related equipment
* Work alongside engineers, technicians, and operators to strengthen equipment reliability and process control
* Support electrical design updates, documentation, risk assessments, and compliance requirements
* Assist with installation, qualification, and commissioning of new or upgraded production equipment
About You
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Required)
* Hands-On Experience working with high voltage or production machinery, ideally 2–3 years in a manufacturing or industrial setting
* Experience across at least 3 companies in a production environment.
* Ability to read, interpret, and troubleshoot electrical schematics and control circuits
* Strong background in hands on fault finding, testing, and repair of electrical systems
* Clear communication skills, strong safety awareness, and a collaborative working style
* Familiarity with Australian standards for electrical safety, testing, and equipment operation
