Job Title: Residential Youth Worker
About the Role:
Foster a supportive home environment for at-risk youth, promoting independence and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
* Create a secure and nurturing atmosphere to help young people thrive.
* Assist with daily living activities, such as personal care, meals, and hygiene.
* Arrange transportation to ensure young people attend school, appointments, and community activities.
* Cultivate social skills and encourage participation in local community events.
* Manage health needs by administering medications and maintaining accurate records.
* Promote trauma-informed care approaches to support young people with complex behaviors.
Requirements:
* A minimum of a Certificate IV in Youth Work, Child, Youth and Family Intervention, Social Work, or Disability Support Work.
* An Australian Driver's License (P2 or higher).
* A current NSW Working with Children Check.
* A First Aid & CPR certificate.
* A Covid-19 vaccination certificate.
* The ability to work flexible shifts, including days, nights, and weekends.
