Our team are trusted advisers to some of the world’s largest and most successful gambling and gaming operators, many of which are publicly listed both in Australia and internationally as well as innovative start-ups and leading players in support industries.
Your role will primarily involve supporting and managing client matters across a wide range of areas including corporate commercial, regulation and compliance, mergers and acquisitions, probity, contractual matters, assessing new product offerings, advertising and marketing, litigation and investigations and licensing.
You will form part of a collaborative high-performing dynamic team that thrives on complexity and providing pragmatic and commercially focused advice.
Your key legal responsibilities will include:
* General corporate and commercial advice;
* Lead role in mergers, acquisitions, divestments, and strategic partnerships and other complex transactions;
* Assist clients in connection with regulatory investigations and enquiries by local gambling authorities, the ACCC, AUSTRAC, law enforcement and other statutory bodies;
* Consider new product offerings, advertising campaigns, development of marketing, responsible gambling and other policies and consumer-facing documentation;
* Support clients to comply with their legal and regulatory obligations and to provide their products and services responsibly and sustainably; and
* Licence applications, renewals and variations.

To be considered for the role, key requirements include:
* Associate with a mid or top tier law firm, industry participant, regulator or in another regulated business.
* Confident dealing directly with clients and Senior Associates.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to develop genuine rapport and work closely with Senior Associates and Principals and other team members day-to-day.
* Ability to prioritise and reprioritise workflow.
* Sharp legal analysis and critical thinking skills.
* High attention to detail.
* Demonstrated ability to plan work and meet deadlines.
* Solution, client-oriented and trusted advisor mindset.
