About the Role:
This is a fantastic opportunity for a mechanically minded individual to kick-start a career in Mechanical Fitting. You will work under the guidance of experienced Tradespeople, gaining hands-on skills and knowledge with the aim of becoming Trade Qualified and progressing beyond.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in overhauling longwall monorails, pump stations, and dump stations
* Replace bearings, air hoses, bolts, and other worn mechanical components
* Rebuild and repair hydraulic pumps, hoses, and other systems
* Support the servicing and repair of filter pump stations
* Clean, prepare, and maintain workshop tools and equipment
* Learn to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
* Work safely and follow company WHS policies at all times
What We're Looking For:
* A genuine interest in becoming a Mechanical Fitter
* Willingness to learn, take instruction, and get your hands dirty
* Basic computer and writing skills; good level of Math and English
* Driver's Licence or Learner's Permit (working towards Ps)
* Completion of Year 10 (minimum requirement)
* Ability to pass a Drug & Alcohol test prior to starting
* Punctual, reliable, and strong work ethic
