Employing 5,000 staff, we create life-changing opportunities for students to learn by delivering an extensive range of educational services to over 60,000 aspirational students across our global network each year.Edith Cowan College (ECC) is an Australian tertiary education and English language provider and is accredited by the government under the Higher Education Act 2004 to provide a range of higher education courses.So working in ECC means you'll become part of a dedicated community that extends beyond the classroom, encompassing a wide range of professions.Our global footprint offers you the chance to connect with people from around the world.We'd like to hear from you!Job DescriptionKey Result AreasUnderstand the testing needs and procedures for every Pearson VUE client and have the capability to adjust approach accordingly.Ensure all compliance standards relation to the test centre operation and Pearson VUE stringent security protocols are adhered to.Ensure the integrity and security of tests are maintained and that they are supervised to the required standard.Comply with all incident reporting and escalation procedures.Maintain own competencies in all of the systems and procedures - requesting training as necessary.Comply with business needs on a day-to-day basis.Ensure personal responsibility for understanding and delivery of testing following updates and changes to client requirements/testing, as they occur.Perform daily tests centre opening and/or closing procedures.Perform other administrative tasks as required.Key FunctionsEnsure a professional, quiet testing environment in the test centre.Ensure equipment is operational and test stations are in working order to deliver testing.Review transmission and error logs in locally operating software to ensure correct functionality (including schedule download and results upload processes).Process candidate sign-in and verification of candidate identity according to Pearson VUE and client procedures.Clearly explain the test process to candidates and address candidate queries as required.Liaise with Pearson VUE technical support staff to investigate and resolve technical issues.Undertake all accreditations and skills checks as required by the business.Support and deliver any events and alternative test delivery processes as defined, both in permanent and temporary locations.Undertake reasonable additional duties to ensure the smooth running of the test centre.Report operational needs and issues to the Pearson Test Administrator.Reports toPearson Test AdministratorQualificationsEssentialKnowledge of and experience in the Secure English Language Test (SELT) industry.Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and use initiative.Well-developed organizational and problem-solving skills.Competent in the use of Windows applications including Web Mail, Excel, Word and Internet Explorer.Ability to deal with conflict and work under pressure.Empathy for and experience in working with international students.A flexible approach to working hours (opening hours and days will vary according to the volume of tests booked).DesirableExperience in student administration/student services in the tertiary education sector.Additional InformationWhat we can offerWe offer careers across our global operations.We recognise and reward.We understand the importance of showing appreciation.We care for you.
