Job Overview
We are looking for a Software Systems Engineer to join our team in Canberra, ACT and contribute to the development and delivery of Joint Data Networks (JP****) Defence projects.
Responsibilities
* Support planning and execution of the JP**** Engineering Program.
* Contribute to software and systems engineering activities across the full capability lifecycle, from requirements development to introduction into service.
* Conduct system and software requirements and specification development.
* Engage with industry and internal/external stakeholders in Agile delivery environments, including Sprint Planning and SCRUMs.
* Provide engineering advice, briefings, and mentoring to project leadership and junior engineers.
Qualifications
* Bachelor of Engineering (or Engineers Australia recognised equivalent).
* AQF Level 6 or higher qualification in software development or software engineering.
* Experience in systems or software engineering within Defence or complex ICT environments.
* Robust stakeholder engagement, communication, and briefing skills.
* Experience supporting acceptance, certification, or assurance activities.
Security Clearance
Due to the nature of the work, a current AGSVA Security clearance is required. In some instances, compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) may also be required.
