Job Description

Role Purpose The National Manufacturing Manager is responsible for delivering sustainable and profitable business operations across all VENTORA Glass manufacturing sites in Australia. This position is part of the VENTORA Glass Senior leadership team and will be engaged with contributing to the strategy and direction of the VENTORA Glass business nationally.

It is expected that the role will work very closely with the National Sales Manager to ensure demand in the business remains strong and that the business is growing market share by delivering on its promises to our valued customers. Main Duties & Responsibilities

* To provide leadership to the management team and entire organisation.
* Control, co-ordinate and monitor all manufacturing related activities for the achievement of business budgeted objectives.

This includes establishing and co-ordinating objectives, establishing KPI’s and, where appropriate, recommendation of standards and improvement targets.

* Proactively contribute to a safe and supportive workplace.

Drive a safe and supportive workplace culture. Implement and maintain Company Workplace, Health and Safety management systems and initiatives to improve productivity.

* In consultation with local Operational Managers develop operational systems/processes to assist in the control of quality, costs, raw materials, inventories, etc.

This includes setting agreed key performance indicators for operational effectiveness.

* Review analyses of activities, costs, operations, sales and forecast data to determine department or division progression toward stated goals and objectives and to gain insights into how to improve performance, productivity and maximise growth.
* In consultation with the National Sales Manager, contribute to the design and implementation of the strategic business plan to expand the company’s customer base, and operational capabilities.

Ability to maintain or restructure the business strategic planning, including sales, financial performance and new product development when required.

* Assess risk involved with new initiatives, ensure deadlines are met and be ready to handle unexpected situations.
* Identify opportunities to expand the business, including through new markets, and through operational technology advances.
* Contribute to the broader tasks, goals, plans and projects of the business, and actively seek ways to build our business safely and ethically, invest in our people, serve our customers, deliver on our promises and improve every day.
* Regular interstate travel is a requirement of this role.

Experience and Knowledge

* Industry Knowledge and Expertise: Expertise in Glass Processing and Manufacturing facilities with process capability mindset.

Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products, technology advances and competition status.

* Financial Acumen: Reviews and approves preparation of accounting analysis for budgetary planning and implementation, production efficiency, financial reporting, budgetary planning and submittal for capital expenditures.
* Communication: Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organisation via appropriate communication methods.

Maintains accurate business data.

* Sales and Operational Skills: Extensive senior management experience in a GM or Operational Management role is critical for this position.

This role works in partnership with the National Sales Manager and regional Operations Managers to ensure achievement of sales and operational budgets and delivery or strategies. Effective management who overcomes objections with persuasion and persistence. Initiates new contacts. Business development. Maintains customer satisfaction.
