The Family Violence Counselling and Support Service offers specialized counselling to adults, children, and young people who have experienced family violence as part of the Safe at Home system.
A key role of this position is working collaboratively with other agencies providing psychological services to those affected by family violence using best practice principles within a multidisciplinary framework.
Some of the responsibilities include assisting children and young people to recover from trauma through specialist psychological services, undertaking interventions within trauma frameworks in line with evidence-based practice, conducting assessments for clients, and providing case management services and referrals.
