Hospital in the Home (HiTH) is an innovative model of care within the Medical Service Group at Townsville University Hospital.
The HiTH team delivers acute hospital-level treatment in the comfort of patients' homes, reducing hospital stays and improving patient outcomes.
This service plays a vital role in expanding access to care across northern Queensland.

Competitive salary and benefits
Salary between $****** – $****** per hour (L18 – L25).
4 to 6 weeks p.a. recreational leave with *******% loading.

About your opportunity
As SMO HiTH Program Lead, you will provide clinical leadership and governance for Hospital in the Home services, ensuring safe, high-quality care.
You will drive strategic initiatives, expand service capabilities, and mentor junior medical staff while contributing to research and education.
Requirements
Qualified as a medical practitioner, qualifications in speciality areas and current registration and / or eligible for registration as a specialist with the Medical Board of Australia.
Awarded Scope of Clinical Practice (SoCP) by THHS Credentialing Committee.
Demonstrated leadership in clinical governance and patient safety.
Highly regarded: Experience in teaching, research, and mentoring junior clinicians.
This position may require the incumbent to operate a government vehicle and an appropriate license endorsement to operate this type of vehicle is required (Queensland 'C' class license).
