As Program Manager, you will:• Deliver high quality support services to impacted workers, apprentices and trainees and small businesses by drawing from DESBT's extensive suite of programs and initiatives and engaging proactively with an extensive network of key regional stakeholders and government agencies.• Provide high level advice, support, and information to the Regional Director regarding the delivery of regional services and programs to support training, small business, and skilling initiatives in response to the Mossman Mill closure and longerterm economic transition.• Build positive working relationships and partnerships to collaboratively work with officers of other government agencies and key stakeholders to build community resilience and ensure workers, apprentices and trainees and small businesses enjoy a seamless, coordinated and customer-centred experience, and equip small businesses to pivot and adapt.• Provide high level and authoritative advice to Senior and/or Executive management across the Department and potentially across one or more other Queensland Government agencies.• Articulate policy direction and implement activities of the region and department to external stakeholders, representing the department professionally and in line with Queensland Public Service values.• Support DESBT's participation on any stakeholder advisory committee, including preparation and briefing of representatives, proficiently responding to requests of the committee's Secretariat, and proactively working to implement actions agreed by the committee.• Ensure objectives and key performance indicators are achieved, including the timely preparation and presentation of accurate and comprehensive operational plans, performance reports, risk and mitigation strategies, briefing notes and other materials as required.• Coordinate and contribute to regional planning initiatives, integration of service delivery strategies, risk management, and work effectively as a member of the FNQ Regional Office leadership team.We're committed to appointing the best-suited person for each role.
