At the Suburban Land Agency (SLA), we don’t just build places—we help shape Canberra’s future. SLA has a collaborative and high performing Executive Support team within the Office of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), whose primary function is to ensure SLA’s Executive are effectively supported, by managing competing priorities to support the delivery of SLA objectives and meet stakeholder expectations. The Executive Support Team provides administrative support for our Executives to ensure they have the information they need to make key decisions for the organisation. As Executive Assistant to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and other designated Executives, you will be at the centre of a team that is responsible for providing high-level administrative, coordination, and liaison support. You will manage complex workflows, coordinate ministerial and board-related documentation, and ensure the Executive are equipped with timely, accurate, and confidential support. Responsibilities include: Executive Support: Provide high-level, confidential administrative support to the Chief Financial Officer and designated SLA Executives including diary management, scheduling meetings, handling correspondence, and managing travel arrangements. Workflow Coordination: Monitor and manage diverse workflows, ensuring timely follow-up on requests and coordination across teams to deliver high-quality input and advice. Documentation and Briefing Coordination: Coordinate and quality assure team contributions to ministerials, board papers, and Assembly business, in collaboration with SLA’s Executive Support Office. Information Management: Critically evaluate materials submitted to the designated Executives ensuring relevance, completeness, and accuracy, while maintaining confidentiality and sensitivity. Meeting Secretariat: Provide secretariat support for internal meetings, including preparing agendas, distributing papers, and recording minutes. Records Management: Maintain records in accordance with the Territory Records Act 2002, using appropriate document management systems. Operational Support: Assist the Senior Director, Office of the CEO with corporate invoicing and other administrative tasks as required, contributing to the smooth running of the SLA Executive Support Office. Eligibility/Other requirements: HIGHLY DESIRABLE Experience in an executive support and/or Executive Assistant role. Experience using the Objective record management system (or similar software) and Office 365. Notes: This is a temporary position available from 10 March 2026 to 02 May 2027 with the possibility of extension and/or permanency. A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only. This position will be located in a workplace designed for activity-based working (ABW). Under ABW arrangements, officers will not have a designated workstation/desk.
