Mt Hira College is a growing independent, co‐educational Islamic College located in the South‐Eastern suburb of Keysborough. The College is an ELC to Year 12 school, which caters for students from diverse backgrounds. About the Role

The HR Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the team in delivering efficient, compliant, and high‐quality HR services. This role involves recruitment support, onboarding, HR administration, compliance monitoring, staff record management, and assisting with everyday HR operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is detail‐oriented, proactive, and passionate about supporting people and strengthening HR processes within an educational environment.

Key Responsibilities

* Managing the end‐to‐end recruitment and selection process
* Preparing and maintaining accurate and confidential HR records
* Support day‐to‐day HR administration and team operations
* Supporting staff in using HR systems and completing required documentation
* Responding to HR‐related staff queries
* Assisting with performance reviews, updating policies, and maintaining compliance records
* Assisting with WorkCover and Return‐to‐Work cases
* Liaise with internal teams and external agencies as required
* Manage grievances in line with policy and maintain accurate records

Key Selection Criteria

* Qualified and experienced in HR, administration, or compliance
* Excellent organisational and time‐management skills
* Experience using HRIS (Sentrient highly desirable)
* High attention to detail and accuracy
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
* A proactive mindset and willingness to learn
* Proven ability to work collaboratively and work in a team
* Have or be eligible for a Working with Children Check
* Be an Australian citizen or permanent resident only

* Relevant tertiary degree and qualifications
* Hold an employee WWCC
