* Team: Senior Leadership / Strategy & Impact
* Location: Brisbane or Logan based (travel to regional areas may be required)
* Level: Above Award (SCHADS) wage: base rate $142,509 (negotiable) per annum, pro-rata plus leave loading and superannuation. Salary sacrifice is available.
* Reports to: Co -CEO
* Contract: Full-time (part-time considered). Fixed term 12-month contract

Role Purpose

This Senior Projects Manager role is a fixed term position established to lead and deliver a portfolio of organisation wide strategic projects that strengthen QPASTT's:

* evidence building, evaluation and learning systems
* organisational infrastructure, quality and service integration

Operating across programs, regions and disciplines, this role provides dedicated senior project management capacity to progress complex initiatives that cut across service systems evaluation and design, workflow processes and data utilisation.

The role will work independently and alongside Senior Practice Leaders at QPASTT.

Responsibilities

1. Strategic Project Leadership

* Lead a defined portfolio of high-priority strategic projects endorsed by the Co-CEOs and Senior Leadership Team.
* Translate strategic intent into clear project scope, milestones, deliverables and success measures.
* Ensure projects are delivered to agreed timelines, quality standards and resource parameters.
* Anticipate and manage risk, interdependence and change impacts across the organisation.

Expected Outcome:

Clear progress on strategic priorities that would otherwise remain fragmented, delayed or under-resourced.

2. Evidence, Impact & Service Design

* Lead projects that strengthen QPASTT's impact frameworks, evaluation practice and evidence base whilst embedding a change management framework.
* Embed learning, reflection and feedback loops into project and service management.
* Support improved use of data and qualitative evidence to inform decision-making, advocacy and funding narratives.
* Work with Senior Leaders to ensure evidence requirements are proportionate, trauma-informed and culturally responsive.
* Monitoring progress, gathering feedback, and measuring adoption metrics to ensure that changes are successfully and sustainably managed.

Greater confidence in our evidence, clearer articulation of impact, and improved organisational learning.

3. Systems & Service Improvement

* Lead cross-organisational projects that improve systems, tools, processes and ways of working.
* Creating comprehensive change management plans that align with organizational goals and project timelines.
* Identify opportunities to streamline, integrate or redesign systems to better support staff and services.
* Ensure alignment with compliance, new quality standards, funding requirements and organisational policies.
* Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement grounded in practice wisdom and lived experience.

More coherent systems that support quality practice rather than burden it.

4. Place-Based Service Development

* Lead and support projects that strengthen QPASTT's place based service quality and integration with central organisational supports
* Work with Senior Leaders and local teams to identify service gaps, opportunities and scalable models.
* Support integration between youth, family and community trauma recovery services
* Contribute to partnership development and regional system alignment where required.

Expected Outcome:

Stronger, more coherent service models aligned with community need, changes in settlement and organisational capability.

5. Stakeholder Engagement & Influence

* Engage and work collaboratively with Senior Leaders, Team Leaders and staff across programs and regions.
* Facilitate co-design, consultation and collaboration processes with internal and external stakeholders centralising lived and practice expertise and experience
* Build trust, clarity and shared ownership across complex initiatives.
* Represent QPASTT in strategic forums, partnerships or project-related engagements as required.

Expected Outcome:

High levels of engagement, shared understanding and collective responsibility for change.

Requirements

Essential:

* Relevant tertiary qualifications in community services, social sciences, public policy, evaluation, project management or a related field.
* Demonstrated senior experience leading complex projects or initiatives in human services or community-based settings.
* Experience working across multiple programs, disciplines or regions.
* Strong understanding of complex service systems, funding environments and organisational change.
* High-level written and verbal communication skills, including reporting to executive audiences.

Desirable:

* Experience in refugee, trauma-informed or culturally responsive service contexts.
* Experience in evaluation, outcomes reporting or evidence-building initiatives.
* Experience working with government, funders or system-level partners.
* Lived experience of displacement, migration or working closely with refugee communities.
Other Requirements
* National Police Check
* Working with Children / Vulnerable Persons Check (Blue Card)
* Ability to travel within Queensland as required

Note:

This role is established for a fixed 12-month period to deliver a defined body of strategic work. Outcomes, learnings and recommendations will inform future organisational design and investment decisions.

Conditions of Employment
* Current Positive Notice Blue Card and provision of an annual federal police check.
* Current Queensland C Class driver's licence.
* Occasional out of hours work. Occasional travel to other QPASTT offices.
* The period of probation will be six months.
