About the Role

As the Finance Manager, you will take full ownership of financial operations across multiple entities within the group. Reporting to the Group CFO and working closely with the senior management team, you'll play a critical role in ensuring financial integrity, timely reporting, and compliance across all levels of the organisation.

You'll thrive in a role that combines strategic oversight with hands-on execution—balancing regular reporting with continuous process improvement. Key Responsibilities

* Oversee day-to-day financial operations across all group entities
* Process and review financial transactions including accruals and journal entries
* Manage general ledger, month-end close, and inter-company reconciliations
* Maintain a fixed assets register and process monthly depreciation journals
* Oversee payroll processing, superannuation, and related reporting
* Prepare and lodge monthly/quarterly BAS, payroll tax, and annual FBT returns
* Support tax compliance (GST, FBT, Income Tax) and financial audits
* Respond to information requests from business units and management
* Continuously review and improve financial processes and reporting
* Assist with onboarding/offboarding of employees from a financial compliance perspective

You are a proactive, detail-driven finance professional with a strong foundation in accounting principles and a desire to take ownership of key financial operations. Qualifications

* Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred but not essential
* Completion or desire to complete CA/CPA
* Experience in BAS preparation, and general accounting (payroll a bonus)
* Familiarity with NetSuite or similar ERP systems (preferred)
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel (Intermediate to Advanced level)
* Strong working knowledge of financial statements and reconciliations
* Familiarity with Australian Accounting Standards
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently in a hybrid environment
