About The Role
As our Laundry Manager, you will lead the day-to-day operations of a busy and essential department, ensuring seamless delivery of laundry services across the precinct. You’ll be responsible for everything from team leadership and workflow optimisation to equipment performance and compliance.
In this diverse and hands-on role, you will:
* Drive efficient daily operations across washing, drying, ironing, folding, and distribution
* Lead, mentor, and develop a dedicated team, fostering a positive and high-performing culture
* Oversee staffing requirements including recruitment, rostering, onboarding, and performance management
* Manage inventory levels of linen, consumables, and equipment to ensure uninterrupted operations
* Contribute to financial performance with a strong understanding of P&L and cost control
* Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness, organisation, and hygiene
* Monitor equipment performance and coordinate maintenance to minimise downtime
* Champion workplace health and safety, ensuring full compliance and embedding a strong safety culture
* Deliver ongoing WHS training and promote best practice across all operational processes
* Ensure service excellence by proactively addressing issues and maintaining high stakeholder satisfaction
About youYou’re an experienced leader who brings both operational expertise and people leadership capability. You know how to balance the demands of a high-volume environment while maintaining strong attention to detail and quality outcomes.
You will bring:
* Proven experience in a Laundry Manager or similar operational leadership role
* Strong technical knowledge of industrial laundry equipment and processes
* A confident, engaging leadership style with the ability to motivate and develop teams
* Excellent organisational and communication skills
* The ability to prioritise, adapt, and perform under pressure
* A solid understanding of workplace health and safety practices in a laundry or similar environment
