About your opportunity
Townsville Hospital and Health Service is seeking an enthusiastic team member to join the Grounds Maintenance Communities team, based at the Kirwan Community Health Campus. This role provides skilled landscaping and grounds maintenance services across THHS community facilities, including Kirwan Community Health Campus, Vincent Health Campus and North Ward Health Campus, with occasional work at the Townsville University Hospital Douglas and Eastern campuses as required.
The Groundsperson will support the delivery of preventative and corrective landscaping maintenance to ensure a safe, healthy and welcoming environment for patients, staff and the general public across THHS community healthcare sites.
Requirements:
* Demonstrated ability to undertake tasks safely in a manual handling environment.
* This position requires the incumbent to operate a class C motor vehicle and an appropriate licence endorsement to operate this vehicle is required.
* Applicants are advised this position works in an identified Aged Care Facility as per the Aged Care Act 1997 and therefore requires employees and volunteers to have a current National Police Certificate. Queensland Health will facilitate applicants obtaining the above National Police Certificate
