Our client, the Department for Child Protection (DCP), leads critical work to protect and support children and their families across South Australia. Through the KidSafe Connect Transformation Program, DCP are undertaking a significant business and digital transformation to reimagine how services connect, share information and deliver outcomes for young people and families. As part of this program, DCP are seeking an Architectural Lead to provide high-level strategic and technical leadership to shape the digital architecture across the Department and other agencies.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Architectural Lead plays a pivotal role in defining, governing and evolving the digital architecture for the KidSafe Connect Transformation Program. This role ensures that technology solutions are scalable, secure, integrated and aligned with the program, ICT and organisational strategies. Working closely with internal teams and external partners, you will guide technology selection, solution design and implementation decisions while ensuring strong architectural governance and sustainability.
* Lead the planning, design and implementation of the overarching technical architecture that will support the KSC Program.
* Provide strategic and technical advice to inform technology selection, solution design and delivery decisions.
* Ensure systems, platforms and integrations are scalable, secure and aligned with ICT or organisation roadmaps.
* Lead architectural governance across multiple program streams to ensure consistency, interoperability and alignment.
* Identify and mitigate architectural risks early in the design and delivery lifecycle.
* Support data architecture and integration strategies that enable safe, ethical and efficient information sharing.
* Ensure compliance with ICT, cybersecurity, privacy and regulatory frameworks.
* Translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable advice for senior leaders and non-technical stakeholders.
* Collaborate with ICT, program teams, other government agencies and external vendors to meet enterprise architecture and security standards.
* Drive innovation and continuous improvement in architecture practices and digital solution design.
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
* Extensive experience in enterprise and solution architecture within complex, multi-system environments.
* Advanced knowledge of cloud-based technologies, integration frameworks and scalable system design.
* Strong understanding of cybersecurity, privacy and information governance principles.
* Proven ability to design interoperable, modular and future-ready systems.
* High-level strategic thinking with the ability to align technical architecture with program and organisational objectives.
* Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
* Advanced analytical and problem-solving capability with a proactive approach to risk management.
* Experience leading architectural governance and influencing technical direction across complex portfolios.
