A position exists within the Pulp & Paper support services team in Tasmania for a service engineer. The Pulp & Paper support services team comprises of two technicians who service and support a large variety of industrial solutions. The work is diverse and challenging. It ranges from high level maintenance and project work on Experion PMD, TPA, QCS and Uniformance based systems, both locally and in support of the HPS engineering group as required.
Key Responsibility
- Responsible for technical delivery of Control Systems preventative and remedial maintenance.
- Implement projects using Honeywell Tools and processes, provide input for constant improvement of processes.
- Maintain, install and service DCS/SCADA (Experion and TPS) packages and other software in the MES layer.
- Maintain, install and service Industrial control equipment on a variety of industrial sites.
- Customer reporting and meeting planned service requirements.
- Conduct customer acceptance testing and final commissioning of systems on site.
- Comply with Honeywell engineering processes tools and methodologies.
- Internal and external liaison with including Service and project progress reporting.
- Identifying and acting upon, sales and service opportunities
- Respond to customer call outs in a timely manner.
- Attend customer site on request and respond to needs
Background
- Exceptional PC skills.
- Experience with software maintenance and development.
- Degree qualifications in an engineering discipline.
- In depth knowledge of industrial instrumentation and control equipment.
- Good understanding of the financial aspects of engineering.
- Valid unrestricted driver's license - mandatory.
