Join Our Team: Labourer Role at Taronga Western Plains Zoo
We are seeking a skilled and experienced labourer to join our team at Taronga Western Plains Zoo. As a key member of our workforce, you will be responsible for undertaking various tasks related to the development, upgrade, and maintenance/upkeep of all physical assets of the zoo.
About the Role:
* This is a full-time position with flexible work arrangements available.
* Current work hours are 7am – 3.30pm, with additional weekend penalties applied.
The successful candidate will have experience in welding, carpentry, fencing, landscaping or similar related fields, as well as a current NSW Drivers License and NSW White Card for Construction.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide input on the quoting and planning of maintenance works and projects.
* Ensure all work requests are completed within timeframes and to meet organisational expectations.
* Complete regular inspections of public facilities, buildings and other assets to ensure they are maintained and presented to the expected standard.
* Work effectively as a member of a high-performing team, completing assigned work tasks and projects to assist the zoo in achieving its strategic outcomes.
Requirements:
* Qualifications/experience in welding, carpentry, fencing, landscaping or similar related fields highly regarded.
* A valid NSW Driver's license, with manual driving skills.
* A current NSW White Card for Construction.
