Overview
DBCT P/L is seeking an IT Infrastructure Specialist to provide senior technical leadership across our core infrastructure services and help shape the future of our technology landscape. The role operates within a hybrid landscape of IT and Operational Technologies, balancing business as usual operations with ongoing continuous improvement to ensure stability, resilience and progress in complex environments. Located 38 kilometres south of Mackay, DBCT P/L operates with a name plate capacity of 85 million tonnes per annum exporting coal from Central Queensland to ports around the world. This wouldn't be possible without great people — people just like you.
Responsibilities
* Lead the reliable operation and continual improvement of core IT infrastructure services.
* Own technical delivery across identity, M365, server/virtualisation, endpoint, network, and storage platforms.
* Manage day‐to‐day infrastructure operations, including incident response and post‐incident reviews.
* Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the IT Infrastructure team.
* Plan and implement major upgrades, migrations and complex infrastructure changes.
* Maintain accurate asset, configuration and capacity data; drive lifecycle and technology roadmap outcomes.
* Work closely with internal teams, vendors and Managed Service Providers to ensure secure and fit‐for‐purpose services.
* Support cyber security operations across all Infosec domains (Identify, Protect, Detect, Respond, Recover).
* Contribute to the development of infrastructure standards, patterns and long‐term planning.
* Provide 24/7 on call support as part of a rotating roster.
* A Bachelor in IT or similar is desirable.
Qualifications
* Experience in 24/7 operations within asset‐intensive or high‐availability environments.
* Strong ownership, accountability and ability to operate across IT and OT landscapes.
* Demonstrated ability to drive complex infrastructure projects and security outcomes.
