This role is based at our mental health facility Romily House, which is located in Claremont.
About the Role
The Cook is a key role that is a vital component for the well‑being of residents. The cook is responsible for the overall operations for the kitchen area of the facility.
The Cook is responsible for managing all aspects of kitchen operations.
The ideal candidate will be available to work full‑time.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Organise and implement food service in accordance with planned menus
* Prepares and serves meals that align with the menu and complies with all necessary health standards
* Analysis of all aspects of the operation to monitor and audit performance to ensure continuous improvements are achieved
* Fosters the development of positive relationships with residents, families, and staff.
* Plan and implement daily food preparation lists for effective production
* Effectively manages all aspects of the kitchen operations and environmental compliance requirements
Skills, Attributes and Experience
* Minimum of 6 months experience in commercial cookery
* Personable, with a genuine empathy and enjoyment of working with people who are aged.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Experience in the hospitality environment
