Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Primary School, Waitara is seeking a PE Teacher on a 12-month temporary, part-time basis.
Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Primary School, Waitara is currently seeking an energetic and passionate PE Teacher. The successful candidate will be suitably qualified and enjoy working in a dynamic and cohesive team.
This is a temporary, part-time (0.4FTE) opportunity to commence Term 1, 2026 and conclude at the end of the school year. The working days for this position is Monday & Wednesday.

Specific Criteria 
- Highly effective, skilled PE and classroom practitioner committed to the ethos of the Catholic School
- Capacity to contribute to the school’s Continuous Improvement Cycle and is committed to student achievement
- Proven ability to apply sound pedagogical practices to create a motivating and engaging learning workplace that caters to the needs of all learners
- Skilled in analysing and reflecting on student learning data to ensure learning growth for all students;
- Highly effective in managing and facilitating safe and supportive learning environments with an understanding of positive student welfare practices
- Willingness to contribute to the broader extracurricular aspects of school life as an active member of the school community and assist organising school carnivals, gala days and representative teams.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic professional learning community.
- Proficient in the use of technology to enhance student learning
- Applicants who are not currently working in a Broken Bay systemic school must have a 4 year training qualification or be enrolled to undertake further study that will provide them with a four year trained qualification to be eligible to apply for any teaching position in the Diocese.

Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic School, Waitara was established in 1898 by the Sisters of Mercy. In October 1991 our school was re-located to the new OLOR Parish site in Yardley Avenue. The school is situated in the Hornsby district of Sydney’s north and has a current enrolment of 350 students. Our school also serves and has close links with the parish of Queen of Peace Normanhurst.
