My client is seeking a talented Bid Manager to join their growing business. As a Bid Manager, you will be responsible for managing the bid process from initiation to submission, ensuring that proposals are of a high quality and submitted on time. You will work closely with our sales, engineering, estimating, legal and technical teams to understand the customer requirements and develop proposals that meet their needs.
The Bid Manager will be exposed to the client from the very start and will be tasked with growing a customer focused bid and gain a deep understanding of the client's needs.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Lead and manage the bid process from initiation to submission, ensuring proposals are of a high quality and submitted on time
- Work closely with sales, engineering, estimating and legal and technical teams to understand the customer requirements and develop proposals that meet their needs
- Build string relationships with customers to ensure the bid matches exactly the clients needs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement bid strategies, pricing, and technical solutions
- Review RFPs, RFQs, and ITBs and develop compliant proposals that meet customer requirements
- Ensure that all proposals are aligned with company strategy, policies, and procedures
- Manage and develop the bid team to deliver high-quality proposals
- Build and maintain relationships with customers and partners to ensure a strong understanding of their needs and requirements
- Conduct bid reviews and lessons learned sessions to continuously improve the bid process
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in bid management in the EPC and services industry - ideally experience in resources or renewable projects
- Strong project management skills with the ability to lead and manage multiple bids simultaneously
- Have managed bids in excess of $10million and $200million+
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong negotiation and presentation skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Knowledge of the EPC and services industry and market trends
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and bid management software
