Role Overview
Lead and inspire a team of HSIE teachers, develop and implement the HSIE curriculum, and drive data‐informed teaching practices to improve outcomes in literacy, numeracy and HPGE. Support professional learning, collaborate with the executive team on school priorities, and manage resources effectively.
Responsibilities
* Lead, motivate and manage a team of HSIE teachers.
* Oversee curriculum development and implementation for the new HSIE syllabi.
* Build staff capacity in data‐informed teaching practices to improve student learning.
* Foster collaboration within teams and faculties to support student outcomes.
* Work collegially with the executive team to identify and lead initiatives aligned with school priorities and the Strategic Improvement Plan.
* Plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Successful teaching experience with a demonstrated capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice.
* Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching programmes.
* Educational leadership skills to build capacity and manage performance of individuals and teams.
* Well‐developed communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with students, staff and parents.
* Commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policy.
* Full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education; if not held, must commence the application process concurrently.
* WWCC clearance number included in the application.
