Job Description
The role of an electrical engineering skills development specialist involves assessing learners and providing coaching, mentoring, and learning opportunities.
Learners are assessed in the full range of qualifications within the relevant subject area, aligned with awarding organization requirements linked to skills and occupational competence.
The successful candidate will hold industry experience in electrical engineering and manage a caseload of learners, undertake training needs analysis, facilitate enrollment in suitable courses, and deliver underpinning knowledge sessions.
Main Responsibilities:
* Assessing learners in line with awarding organization requirements
* Providing coaching, mentoring, and learning opportunities
* Managing a caseload of learners
* Undertaking training needs analysis
* Facilitating enrollment in suitable courses
Key Requirements:
* A professionally relevant qualification at minimum of level 3 or equivalent
* Possess or be willing to work towards an assessors qualification (TAQA)
* Possess or be willing to work towards a Quality Assurance qualification (Currently 401 TAQA Unit)
* Level 2 English and Maths qualifications (or equivalent) at Grade 4 (C) or above
* Possess or be willing to work towards a Digital Literacy Level 2 qualification
