About the Role
The D365 Supply Chain System Analyst is responsible for overseeing the entire supply chain capability within Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (D365 FinOps) across both manufacturing and trading entities. This role is pivotal in ensuring the stability and optimisation of supply chain operations following go-live, while continuously driving, own test/upgrade cycles, and drive measurable improvements in on-time delivery, inventory health and intercompany flow. (Dual Write/FS, Vault–ECM dependencies in scope).
Key Responsibilities
* Implement the company's supply chain strategy and inventory management policy.
* Serve as the subject matter expert for D365 Supply Chain Management: finalising processes, system testing, validation, and releasing standard process documentation.
* Train staff in new D365 SMC standard processes and provide tailored training for planning, procurement, and warehousing teams—with regional customisation as needed.
* Collaborate with SCM teams to identify and implement process improvements within D365.
* Identify and resolve cost, delivery, and inventory challenges, such as delays, accidents, and stock loss.
* Facilitate efficient collaboration across Production, Purchasing, Stores, Logistics, Engineering, and Finance.
* Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to secure more profitable deals.
* Contribute as a subject matter expert in D365 project teams for manufacturing and supply chain management.
* Support data collection, test case design, UAT, and coordination with key users.
* Document and develop new standard processes across SCM functions.
* Lead D365 Supply Chain standardisation and provide real-time SCM measures for decision-making.
* Support manufacturing teams in material control, warehousing, and inventory flow—focusing on continuous improvement.
* Assist with EOQ setting and system planning reviews; apply lean principles to inventory management.
Qualification and experience
* Bachelor's degree or qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a similar field.
* APICS certification or equivalent highly regarded.
* 5–7 years in a similar role within a low-volume production environment with complex engineering products.
* Strong background in inventory management and procurement.
* Lean manufacturing experience and knowledge advantageous.
* Excellent understanding of supply chain processes and ERP systems, specifically D365.
* Familiarity with health and safety standards, compliance, quality systems, machining, fabrication, and engineering technology principles.
* Knowledge of process improvement, business, finance, and basic HR practices.
