About the role

Please note this is NOT a FIFO role. Reporting to the Laboratory Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing the highest quality service to clients. Complete work in a timely manner as directed by your supervisor, this includes but is not limited to process, prepare, weigh, digest and analyse mineral and ore samples using a variety of techniques, procedures and instrumentation in accordance with documented procedures, GLP & ISO The role requires the successful applicant to work full-time on a rotating shift schedule (Monday to Friday, 6am - 2pm or 2pm - 10pm or 10pm - 6am) - the applicant should be able and available to work all shifts. Shift work on weekend may be available to meet production demands.

Key Responsibilities:

* Ensure safety procedures are followed in accordance with Site, State and local guidelines
* Provide quality services to our clients in accordance with company policies and procedures
* Perform analysis accurately and within turnaround times required
* Perform maintenance and operational functions on the automated equipment as required
* Follow all documented procedures to ensure maintenance of quality accreditation
* Conduct general cleaning and maintenance of the sample station and sampling points
* QA/QC

Qualifications / Experience / Skills:

* Previous geochemistry/minerals & environmental laboratory experience is desirable
* Laboratory certification is highly regarded
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to work within a small team to achieve key objectives
* Strong organisational skills
* Ability to develop and implement appropriate procedures
* Computer literacy skills are required
