The role
We are seeking an experienced Head of Product to join Truyu in x15. Truyu is a B2C app available in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. At Truyu, our mission is to empower every Australian to protect their identity and reduce the financial, emotional and social impacts of fraud. Reporting to the Managing Director and with accountability for product strategy, design and delivery, you will shape the product experience to exceed customer needs and expectations. You will engage closely with our team, potential customers, partners and key CommBank stakeholders to understand customer needs. B2B experience is desirable; stakeholder engagement and influencing skills are critical. This role is a key part of the venture's leadership team.
Key responsibilities
- Product strategy and vision – lead product vision, develop a product roadmap, act as customer advocate, test concepts in market, work with engineering to translate learnings into improvements.
- Team leadership – build and lead high‐performing product teams, provide mentorship and guidance, share knowledge across ventures.
- Delivery – collaborate with cross‐functional teams to manage priorities, drive product from concept to launch in a fast‐paced, often ambiguous startup environment, communicate progress and roadblocks clearly.
- Risk management – manage the venture's delivery pathway, identify and mitigate risks, ensure compliance with regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Go‐to‐market strategy – collaborate with stakeholders to articulate and align go‐to‐market strategy, manage timing, roadblocks and prioritisation.
- Reporting – monitor product performance, share key performance metrics with stakeholders, track product metrics to identify areas for improvement, use data to inform decisions.
- Stakeholder engagement – communicate product vision, strategy and progress to key stakeholders and executives, champion the product and venture, demonstrate thought leadership in fraud prevention.
Required skills and experience
- 6+ years' experience as a Head of Product, Senior Product Manager or Product Manager working on digital products in an Agile environment, ideally within identity, security and/or fraud prevention.
- Strong customer‐focussed product building experience and ability to deliver roadmap outcomes.
- Outstanding communicator who can translate quantitative and qualitative data into customer outcomes.
- Thrives in ambiguity, enjoys variety and is ready for early‐stage startup intensity.
- Experience with fast‐paced, early‐stage startup environments.
- Mobile‐first product development experience, ideally owning both B2C and B2B/B2B2C products.
- Passion for strategy and planning, and ability to bring key stakeholders on the journey.
- Lead‐like personality who motivates teams to reach milestones and keeps product development on track.
- Customer evidence mindset, eager to analyze data, test builds before release.
